Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurokawa Kenji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Batts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batts has chosen Pro-pain - Make war (not love) as his entrance music. Billy Batts is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Kurokawa Kenji!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Batts!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batts lands a lovely overhand right.
Kenji waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Batts.
Kenji throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kenji tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Batts was well out of range. Poor timing from Kenji.
Batts attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Batts goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Batts lands a glancing blow to the side of Kenji's head.


It looks like Kurokawa Kenji has been cut.
Batts dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kenji. That did some damage!
Kenji goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Batts thows a body shot but no joy.
Batts will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Batts misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kenji fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Batts manages to avoid it.
Kenji buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kenji misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kenji misses with a low kick.
Kenji avoids the body shot from Batts.
Kenji throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kenji lands with an overhand left.
Kenji takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Billy Batts is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kenji avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kenji tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Batts was well out of range. Poor timing from Kenji.
Batts misses with a two punch combination.
Batts fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kenji tries to score a power double leg takedown but Batts sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kenji somewhat.
The fighters circle momentarily. Batts darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kenji throws a good cross that connects.
Batts closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Batts steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kenji.
Batts throws a half hearted mid kick.
Batts pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kurokawa Kenji seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Batts throws a solid leg kick but Kenji takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Batts.
Batts closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Kenji tries a head kick but it misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A left lands for Kenji.
Batts ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kenji moves away.
Batts stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kenji.
Batts walks into a stiff left hand from Kenji.
Batts misses with a low kick.
Batts defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kenji.
Batts looks to score with a jab to the body but Kenji is just out of range.
Kenji looks to throw the jab but Batts is out of range.
Kenji uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Batts.

Kenji shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Batts's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Billy Batts was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Batts needs to keep his hands up - Kenji had a free shot at his head there.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Batts.
A shot to the body from Kenji misses
and Batts counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kenji's knee momentarily.
Batts slips a jab from Kenji.
Sloppy strikes from Kenji. Those never looked like landing.
Batts takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Kenji connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Batts's hands.
Kenji digs a good body shot into Batts's ribs.
Batts throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kenji dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Batts. That did some damage!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kenji lands with a straight right. Batts didn't see that one coming.
Batts misses with a double jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Batts misses with a wild body shot.
Batts misses with a low kick.
Kenji lands a leg kick that knocks Batts off balance momentarily.
Batts connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Kenji misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Batts.
Kenji thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kenji lands a jab to Batts's midsection.
Batts on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Batts looks winded!
A solid leg kick lands there for Kenji.
Kenji connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A shot to the liver by Kenji. Beautiful body shot.
A left lands for Kenji.
Kenji bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kenji lands a big head kick that sends Batts tumbling to the mat! Kenji takes a step backwards and waves Batts back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Billy Batts has been cut.
Kenji lands an overhand right.
Kenji is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Batts pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kenji throws a hook but Batts blocks it.
Batts doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kurokawa Kenji dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kenji ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Batts moves away.
Kenji misses with a hook. Batts ducked under it nicely.
Batts takes a swing at Kenji's ribcage but misses.
Kenji lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Kenji buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Batts takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kenji cracks the inside of Batts's front leg.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kenji scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Kenji throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kenji cracks a nice hook into Batts's ribs.
Kenji looks to land a left hand but Batts moved out of range nicely.
Kenji feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Batts's calf.
Kenji lands with a kick to the ribs.
Kenji is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Batts can do to turn this around?
Kenji works the jab nicely.
Kenji feints and then cracks Batts's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Batts down.
Batts is breathing heavily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Kenji.
That kick from Kenji tenderised Batts's leg. Batts is trying to keep his angry face on.

Kenji scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Batts's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Batts takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Batts walks into a stiff left hand from Kenji.

Kenji cracks Batts with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Batts looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kenji finish him?


Batts is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kenji misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Batts is still on wobbly legs! Can Kenji finish him?
Kurokawa Kenji is winning the standup battle so far.
Kenji throws a monster overhand right that drops Batts! Kenji follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kurokawa Kenji!
Kurokawa Kenji retains his light heavyweight title!
Kurokawa Kenji decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
