The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawal darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Paulo looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Lawal thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lawal slips a nice elbow through Paulo's hands, connecting with Paulo's forehead.
Paulo has hold of Lawal's hands but Lawal slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Lawal seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Paulo is rocked!
Lawal scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Oh Paulo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lawal lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Lawal lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Paulo quite badly. Paulo pulls Lawal in close trying to recover. Lawal postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Paulo on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Paulo doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bo Lawal!
Post fight, Bo Lawal stared into the camera and said 'Listen I didn't come to make friends and Tonight was a Perfect Example or why you don't want to face me. I will become the Bantamweight champion so everyone better take notice!!'.
