PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jannu The Predator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Zelenofia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Predator fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zelenofia sprawls well initially but The Predator persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The Predator decides to stand and escape the position.

The Predator changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zelenofia looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The Predator has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Zelenofia tries to sprawl but The Predator drives through with a takedown into half guard.

The Predator escapes and gets back to his feet.
Zelenofia stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zelenofia wants it to stay on the feet.
Zelenofia closes the distance and clinches up with The Predator, looking for a takedown. Zelenofia pushes The Predator against the cage but The Predator circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jannu The Predator has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Zelenofia.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Zelenofia enables The Predator to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Zelenofia manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jannu The Predator.

The Predator throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Zelenofia tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. The Predator is in Zelenofia's guard.

The Predator gets to his feet - Zelenofia follows without any prompting.

The Predator closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Zelenofia to the mat! Zelenofia manages to get full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The Predator passes Zelenofia's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The Predator is taking a breather. Zelenofia says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Zelenofia is in trouble now - The Predator has advanced to mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! The Predator's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

The Predator shoots in and bounces Zelenofia off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The Predator sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Zelenofia's guard.
Well, if The Predator is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The Predator has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Zelenofia is breathing heavily.

We're going to have a standup here because Jannu The Predator wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

The Predator shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than The Predator was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The Predator seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Zelenofia for as long as he can get away with.
