Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Teixeira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Randall White!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from White.
A head kick by Teixeira misses
and White counters with a shoot takedown. Teixeira fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
White looking to pass the guard.
White content to stall in guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Teixeira keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully.
Teixeira looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Teixeira is trying to keep White in close.
Teixeira wants to stand but White is controlling the position.

White stays in close to Teixeira's body and controls the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
White avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
White fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
White fails to land the takedown.
Joao Teixeira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randall White.
Teixeira misses with a combination
and White counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
White decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Teixeira, up you get!

White dives in and scores a takedown into Teixeira's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

White's corner is telling him to maintain position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Teixeira is wriggling around but White manages to pass to half guard.
White missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
White stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

White throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Teixeira tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. White is in Teixeira's guard.
Teixeira is working an open guard so White takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Teixeira stuffs the takedown attempt from White. White gets slowly back to his feet.

Joao Teixeira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
White looking to score a takedown here. Teixeira is defending well but White drives through and ends up in Teixeira's guard.
White with a flurry of punches that miss.
White postures up in Teixeira's guard and throws a big left but Teixeira blocks it.
White passes into half guard.

White looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Teixeira knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for White on the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
White uses his free foot to push down on Teixeira's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Teixeira.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Teixeira scores with a head kick. White tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
White shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Teixeira throws a nice looking combination but White bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Teixeira gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows White to score an easy takedown into full guard.
White pushes down on Teixeira's leg and manages to get into half guard.
White is trying to control. Teixeira wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
White looks to land a strike but Teixeira avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
White drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Teixeira manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now White has Teixeira in his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now White is on top in guard.
White controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
White stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Teixeira throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
White manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Teixeira on his heels. He'll look to pass Teixeira's guard now, I'm sure.
White slips nicely into half guard.
White drops an elbow to the side of Teixeira's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
White seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Teixeira is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
