Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between omar wantan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Kessler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kessler has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Dan Kessler has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from wantan finds it's target.
The fight stays on the outside here - wantan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
wantan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
wantan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kessler's waist but Kessler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing wantan off to one side.
wantan shoots in looking for a takedown. Kessler tries to sprawl out of it but wantan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kessler manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
wantan moves in looking to clinch but Kessler pushes him off.
wantan shoots in for a double leg but Kessler sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for omar wantan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kessler throws a nice looking combination but wantan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

wantan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kessler at a distance.

wantan won't allow Kessler to sweep him here.
wantan stands up over Kessler, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
wantan could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kessler wants to sweep here but wantan controlling him for the moment.
Kessler wants to stand but wantan is controlling the position.

wantan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kessler, up you get!
wantan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kessler can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kessler lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for wantan!
Kessler can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as wantan is looking to escape.

wantan tries to lock up and control but Kessler gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
wantan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kessler looking to control but wantan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kessler avoids the attempt from wantan to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kessler tries to control but wantan wriggling away.
Kessler takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

wantan has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kessler off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Kessler has had enough of the clinch but wantan keeps him there for the moment.
wantan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
wantan avoids a punch combination nicely.
wantan moves in looking to clinch but Kessler pushes him off.
Kessler fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
wantan throws a head kick that misses.
wantan Rushes Kessler and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Kessler is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. wantan Piles on the pressure and Kessler crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
