Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Cid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cid comes to the cage accompanied by There's No Home for You Here. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Xavier Cid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Reese!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, David Schapiro and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cid scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Reese doesn't seem bothered though.
Cid throws a right and a left that both miss.

Reese throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cid was covering up waiting for the punch and Reese finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Cid pulls Reese in to control the position.
Cid working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Reese.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Xavier Cid.
Cid is looking to chop away at Reese's legs.

Reese tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Cid gets caught napping as Reese dives in and scores a takedown. Cid manages to retain guard.
Cid pulls Reese in close to his closed guard and prevents Reese from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Xavier Cid.
Reese takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Reese looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Reese is working for a kimura but Cid is defending it quite comfortably.

Reese thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Reese looks to land a strike but Cid avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Reese throws a big elbow that misses.
Cid looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Reese loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Reese throws a strike but Cid rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Cid pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reese is keeping the position for now.

Reese looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Reese tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Cid content to stall in guard here.
Reese trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cid looking to pass the guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kyle Reese will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A telegraphed right hand from Cid misses the target.
Reese keeps the fight on the outside.
Cid throws a quick inside leg kick.
Reese shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cid as he avoids it easily.
Cid tries to close the distance and clinch up but Reese swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Reese scores with a sloppy right hand. Cid should have avoided that one.
Reese throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A head kick from Reese lands but Cid takes it in his stride.
Reese misses with a shot to the body
and Cid connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cid thows a body shot but no joy.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Reese. Cid shrugs it off though.
Cid throws a low kick but Reese moves out of range easily.
Reese uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cid.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cid lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Reese has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Reese and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Reese misses with a hook.
A looping hook to the body misses from Reese. Cid does a little dance to reset his feet.

A head kick misses from Cid.
Cid pushes Reese away with a front kick.
Xavier Cid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cid blocks a low kick nicely.
Cid looks to land a left hand but Reese moved out of range nicely.
Cid throws a leg kick
and Reese counters with a slapping leg kick.
Cid throws a sloppy head kick
and Cid takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cid lands a leg kick that knocks Reese off balance momentarily.
Cid with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Reese shoots in but Cid avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Reese looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Xavier Cid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Reese.
A head kick from Cid lands but Reese takes it in his stride.

Reese gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Cid scores with a shoulder strike.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Reese blocking some punches.
Cid looking to throw knees to the head but Reese is blocking nicely.
A bit of stalling here from Reese.
Cid is pressed up against the cage. Reese has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cid down to the mat. Cid avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Reese misses the shot to the body.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Cid, right into the meat.

Reese shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Reese was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Reese thowing shots but they're missing.

Reese moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Cid has worked his arm free - good work by Cid!
Reese fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Kyle Reese has got the better of the ground game so far.

Reese working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Reese lands a decent elbow from side control.

Cid tries to improve position but can't.

Reese has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Cid is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Reese yanks on the arm and Cid is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Reese.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kyle Reese!
