Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Davis Marcus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tobia Funke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus comes to the cage accompanied by "Princes of the Universe," by Queen. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marcus moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Funke goes down! Can Marcus finish him!?

It looks like Tobia Funke has been cut.
Funke has a closed guard, preventing Marcus from standing up.
Funke is pulling down on Marcus's head. It's preventing any offense from Marcus, at least for the moment.
Funke throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Funke has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Funke is looking for a sweep. Marcus is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Funke has hold of Marcus's hands but Marcus slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Marcus decides to stand up.

Funke looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Marcus is trying to get back to full guard.

Marcus pushes Funke off looking to stand but Funke dives back in and keeps control.
Funke wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marcus keeps working.
Marcus tries to kick Funke off but Funke keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Marcus regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Funke.
Marcus avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Funke shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Marcus pinned against the cage. Marcus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Davis Marcus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tobia Funke.
Funke looks gassed!
Marcus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Funke misses with a looping left.
Marcus fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Funke is out of range.
Marcus looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Funke on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Marcus bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Funke throws a body punch but Marcus moves out of range.
Funke needs to keep his hands up - Marcus had a free shot at his head there.

Funke is rocked!
Funke circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Marcus. Funke falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Marcus!
