PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Bauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Munster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bauer comes to the cage accompanied by I Stand Alone by Godsmack. The Munster told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munster tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Bauer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Munster manages to avoid it.
Munster scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Horrible takedown by Bauer or perhaps it was just good defense by Munster which made him look bad.
Bauer waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Munster.
Munster takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like The Munster has been cut.
Jack Bauer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bauer tries to clinch but Munster is having none of it.
Munster misses with a looping right.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Munster lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bauer has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bauer and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Bauer throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bauer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A left and a right from Bauer both land. Nice combination.
Munster swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Munster thows a body shot but no joy.
Bauer sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
The Munster is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bauer avoids a kick to the body.
Bauer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Munster throws a leg kick but Bauer moved away.
Bauer avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Munster misses with a body kick.
Munster connects with a leg kick. Bauer looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Munster misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bauer.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bauer takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Some bone on bone action there as Bauer checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Munster throws a nice outside leg kick.
Bauer is breathing heavily.

Munster fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bauer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bauer throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Munster dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Munster lands a big uppercut and Bauer crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bauer looks OK. Munster waves Bauer back to his feet!
Munster feints and then cracks Bauer's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bauer down.
Bauer avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
An inside leg kick lands from Munster.
Munster throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bauer.
Munster ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Munster jabs Bauer right on the nose. Bauer blinks but takes it well.

That kick from Munster tenderised Bauer's leg. Bauer is trying to keep his angry face on.
Munster pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bauer is out of range and Munster settles back down.
Munster scores with a leg kick.
Munster punishes Bauer's body with a nice straight punch.
Munster lands a big right hand that sends Bauer crashing to the mat! Munster stays standing though and waves Bauer back to his feet!
Bauer is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Munster.
Oh Bauer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Munster chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Munster thows a body kick. Bauer tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Bauer fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Bauer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head kick by Munster - that's a beauty! Bauer is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Munster can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). The Munster!
The Munster very nearly forgot to thank STEEL PENN'S 160 OF STEEL $50 Rio amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
