Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Rook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rook might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mr Krinkle. Johnson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Town by Macklemore. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rook lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Rook will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Johnson misses with a hook to the body
and Rook counters with a left to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rook shoots in looking for a takedown but Johnson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rook's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

It looks like Yuri Rook has been cut.
Johnson looks to score with a jab to the body but Rook is just out of range.

Rook is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Johnson.

Johnson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Johnson keeps control of Rook as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Johnson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rook looks to land a left hand but Johnson moved out of range nicely.
Johnson lands a nice shot to the body.
Rook connects with a nice looking jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rook cracks Johnson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Rook throws an overhand right that lands on Johnson's shoulder, as Johnson tries to avoid the shot.

Johnson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rook.
Rook shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuri Rook. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Johnson cracks Rook with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Johnson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rook to stand back up!
Oh Rook is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Johnson lands with a right and another and another! Rook is in big trouble! Johnson lands again and this time it's lights out for Rook! A quality knockout there for Johnson.
