Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steven Angero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Dillashaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dillashaw has chosen Jump Around-House of Pain as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steven Angero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, TJ Dillashaw!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Dillashaw with that takedown attempt.

Angero closes the distance and clinches.

Angero's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Dillashaw's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Angero connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dillashaw scrambles back to his feet.

TJ Dillashaw has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Dillashaw doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dillashaw changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Angero tries to avoid it but Dillashaw manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Angero to the ground. Angero escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dillashaw shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Angero's guard.

TJ Dillashaw has got the better of the ground game so far.

Angero is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Dillashaw gets his way!

Dillashaw is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Angero is defending well though. Dillashaw let's go of the attempt for now.
Dillashaw is trying to stick to Angero's back but Angero is turning into Dillashaw. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dillashaw's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Angero.

Dillashaw is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Dillashaw is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Angero is controlling him.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Dillashaw has his foot on Angero's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Angero works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Angero stands and steps away. Dillashaw gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Angero throws a combination. Dillashaw tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Dillashaw fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Angero to the ground. Dillashaw is now in Angero's guard.

Angero escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dillashaw gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Steven Angero will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Angero throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dillashaw's waist but Dillashaw gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Angero off to one side.
