Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Hart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Glen Starner!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starner takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hart misses with a body kick.
Hart bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Hart explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Hart keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Starner.
Hart tries to land a front kick but Starner steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Starner on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hart connects with a leg kick. Starner looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Starner avoids the head kick by Hart.
Starner takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Hart misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hart uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Starner.
A telegraphed right hand from Starner misses the target.
A swing and a miss from Starner.

Starner scores with a nice strike.
Starner misses the shot to the body.
Glen Starner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Starner misses with a body punch
and Hart counters with an outside leg kick.
Hart misses with a kick to the body.
Starner moves out of range as Hart throws a body kick.
Hart throws a head kick that half lands.
Starner connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hart. Hart circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Starner takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hart looking to land some kicks to the body here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hart throws a leg kick which misses Starner's front leg but catches the back leg as Starner tries to avoid it.
Sam Hart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hart throws a sloppy head kick and Starner moves out of range easily.
Hart keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Hart throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Starner is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hart.
Hart misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Starner lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Starner looks to throw the jab but Hart is out of range.
Hart tries to score with a low kick but Starner moves his leg out of the way.
Hart thumps Starner with a low kick.
Hart misses with a body kick.

Starner gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Starner is pushing Hart up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Starner as Hart tries to tie him up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hart trying to land knees to the body.
Hart blocks a body shot from Starner.
Hart jumps guard but Starner turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Hart has clasped his hands together around Starner's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Starner is trying to get back to half guard.
Starner manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hart's best efforts.
Starner works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hart tries to free his leg and advance position but Starner is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hart throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Starner works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Starner is looking for a triangle but Hart pushes his legs off easily.
Hart advances to half guard.
Hart has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Starner is not content to let Hart control the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hart missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Starner looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Starner is looking for a sweep. Hart is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hart not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Starner tries to get to full guard but Hart has control of the leg.
Starner manages to get to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sam Hart will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Glen Starner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hart throws a head kick that misses.
Starner takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Hart takes a swing at Starner's ribcage but misses.
Hart throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
A telegraphed right hand from Starner misses the target.
A big left from Starner misses.
Hart misses with a body kick.
Starner misses with a hook.
Starner throws a shot from downtown. Hart moves away and avoids it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Starner rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hart counters with a nice low kick that buckles Starner's knee momentarily.
Starner on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hart. Hart obviously looking to wear him down.
Hart throws a head kick that half lands.
Hart moves out of range as Starner strikes.
Sam Hart is winning the standup battle so far.
Hart throws a push kick but Starner slaps the foot to one side.
Hart lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Starner throws an overhand right that lands on Hart's shoulder, as Hart tries to avoid the shot.
Hart misses with a head kick.
Starner cracks Hart with a right hand to the side of the head.
Starner lands with a right hand.
Starner looks to throw the jab but Hart is out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hart looking to land some kicks to the body here.
That kick from Hart tenderised Starner's leg. Starner is trying to keep his angry face on.
Starner tries to clinch but Hart moves out of range.
Donk. Starner catches Hart right on the button with a cross.
Hart displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Starner throws out the jab.
Hart bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hart moves away from the strike by Starner.

Starner throws a left that rocks Hart and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Starner dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Hart regain composure!


Hart is rocked!


It looks like Sam Hart has been cut.
Starner scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Hart is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Starner can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Glen Starner!
