The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wollsey tries to land a leg kick but Chi saw it coming and moves away.
Chi throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Wollsey counter with a right hand.
Nice body kick there by Chi.
Chi misses with a straight left.
Chi walks into a straight right hand from Wollsey.
Wollsey keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Chi.
Wollsey uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chi.
Chi cracks Wollsey with a right hand to the side of the head.
Shang Chi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chi takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Wollsey misses with a wild body shot.
Wollsey throws a hook but Chi blocks it.
Chi lands a jab to the head.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Chi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wollsey has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wollsey and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Chi connects with a leg kick. Wollsey looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Chi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wollsey moves away.
Chi attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Chi darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Chi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Wollsey uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Chi.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wollsey. That did some damage!

Wollsey throws a front kick aimed at Chi's knee but Chi avoids it well.

Wollsey has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Wollsey there as he acknowledges the shot.
The fighters circling - Chi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wollsey on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Wollsey throws the left hand but Chi avoids the punch easily.
Chi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wollsey moves away.
A solid leg kick lands there for Chi.
Chi catches Wollsey with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A decent looking cross lands there for Wollsey.
Chi just misses with a punch to the body.
The fighters circling - Chi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wollsey moves out of range as Chi strikes.
Nice defenses there by Wollsey.
Wollsey takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A looping hook to the body misses from Chi. Wollsey does a little dance to reset his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Chi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Chi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wollsey lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Wollsey moves forwards but Chi connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Wollsey is rocked!
Chi is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Wollsey flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Wollsey is out cold! Chi holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Shang Chi!
After winning the bout, Shang Chi thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
