The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mamba on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Nice sprawl there from Nogueira as Mamba shoots in.
Nogueira lands a big head kick that sends Mamba tumbling to the mat! Nogueira takes a step backwards and waves Mamba back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like White Mamba has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mamba looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nogueira is fending him off so far but Mamba persists. Nope, Nogueira circles away and we're back to standing.
Mamba shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nogueira as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for White Mamba. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mamba fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nogueira lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Mamba out cold! Mamba is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Michal Nogueira!
Michal Nogueira was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
