Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Darude - Sandstorm . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, James Walker!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King shoots in and drives through. Walker sprawls well.
King throws a sloppy head kick and Walker moves out of range easily.
King misses with a head kick.
King shoots in for a takedown but Walker shows good takedown defense.

Walker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. King looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
King wants to control but Walker postures up.

Walker decides to stand back up. Walker steps back and let's King get back to his feet.

Walker scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
King can't do much from the bottom here.
Walker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Walker stands up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
King gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Walker counters by clinching up.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Walker gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
King is breathing heavily.
Nice elbow from Walker.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Walker.

Walker has hold of one of King's legs. King is fighting the takedown attempt but Walker gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Walker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

King is working an open guard so Walker takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Walker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from King.

Walker darts in and clinches King up against the cage.
Walker's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Walker lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Walker escapes and gets back to his feet.

Walker shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches King napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Walker decides to stand back up. Walker steps back and let's King get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Walker drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Walker stands up from King's guard - Walker perhaps looking for a knockout.

Walker looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

King not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Walker lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Walker gets to his feet - King follows without any prompting.

Walker moves into range and clinches up with King.

Walker has dropped down and is working for a takedown. King is trying to keep an underhook but Walker manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Walker gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Walker rushes King and presses him up against the cage.

Walker is trying to trip King. He has hold of a leg but King is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Walker persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now King is on top in guard.

Walker pushes King off and scrambles back to his feet.
James Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

King tries to clinch there but Walker circles away.
Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by King.

Walker instigates a clinch.
King drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Walker gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Walker has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed King clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walker is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Walker has the hooks in. King is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
King is working hard here to advance position.
King trying to control the action but Walker just sinks the hooks in.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Walker has eaten all the pies!
Walker scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
What can King do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Walker scores with punches to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King trying to control but not successfully.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Walker landing with strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Walker dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Walker closes the distance and clinches.
Walker landing knees to the head.

Walker has dropped down and is working for a takedown. King is trying to keep an underhook but Walker manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Walker stands up from half guard.

Walker dives in and scores a takedown into King's guard.
King wants to get back to his feet but Walker is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Walker stands and steps away. King gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
King fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
King throws a head kick but Walker moves out of range.

Walker looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for King!
King really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Walker is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Walker drives through with a takedown into guard.

Walker stands and steps away. King gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Walker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Walker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Walker get's back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Walker shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. King manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Walker is looking to stand up but King won't let him.

Walker gets to his feet. King looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

A lazy body kick from King

and Walker moves into the clinch.

Walker lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Walker slips a nice elbow through King's hands, connecting with King's forehead.

King actively working from the bottom here.
Walker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Walker stands up from half guard.
A punch combination from King misses.

Walker shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. King is trying to defend but Walker finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
King looks like he's trying to stand up.
James Walker has got the better of the ground game so far.

Walker stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows King to get to his feet.

Nice takedown defense from Walker. No joy for King on that attempt.
Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by King.

Walker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with King, pushing him back against the cage.

Walker has King pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Walker pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending King tumbling to the mat - Walker dives into King's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of King is proving hard to escape from.
King looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

King working for a triangle but Walker defends it easily.
Walker working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Walker scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
King is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Walker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Walker moves into the clinch successfully.
King looking for a takedown.
King can't find room to land a body shot as Walker controls the action.
Walker comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Walker taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Walker lands an elbow inside that King shrugs off.

Walker gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Walker wants to get back to his feet.
King trying to control but Walker postures up.

Walker decides to stand and escape the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

King gets caught flat footed, as Walker shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Walker gets to his feet - King follows without any prompting.
King fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Walker moves into the clinch successfully.
Walker scores with a knee to the head.
Walker's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Walker gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, King regains guard.
King controls Walker momentarily but Walker frees himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Walker stands up and waves to King to follow him.
King throws a combination that misses

and Walker counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Walker.
King not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Walker decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on King, up you get!

Walker has managed to clinch.
King wants to break the clinch but can't.

Walker works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Walker stands up and waves to King to follow him.
Walker slips under a jab from King.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Walker manages to get an easy takedown there - catching King on his heels. He'll look to pass King's guard now, I'm sure.
Walker's corner is telling him to maintain position.
King will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Walker stands up from King's guard - Walker perhaps looking for a knockout.
King wants to clinch up but Walker keeps it at a distance.

Walker gets a double leg takedown into King's guard.
Walker wanted to stand there but King had control of the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
King wants to stand up but Walker is controlling him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Walker stands up from King's guard - Walker perhaps looking for a knockout.

Walker gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Walker with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Walker has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but King regains guard immediately.
Walker wants to stand but King has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

And that's the end of the fight!
James Walker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Walker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

James Walker decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
