The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Valley tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Valley has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Fernandes is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Valley asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Valley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
BOOM! Valley connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Valley is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Fernandes has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Valley cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Fernandes is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Fernandes takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fernandes throws a body punch but Valley moves out of range.
Valley stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Valley lands a right hand that snaps the head of Fernandes backwards.
Fernandes tries to break free but Valley pushes him back against the cage.
Valley digs a right hand into Fernandes's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Fernandes's gas tank.
Fernandes tries to circle away but Valley has him pinned against the cage.

Valley wants the takedown. Fernandes is fighting it off but Valley persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Fernandes's guard against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Valley wants to control from the top but Fernandes keeps moving.

Valley forces his way into half guard.

Valley is figuring out what he wants to do next.
