Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dynamite Shikoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royston De Noteboom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shikoku comes into the arena with Shikoku Shikoku blaring out of the sound system. De Noteboom has chosen Rotting Christ - Snowing Still as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Noteboom changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shikoku tries to avoid it but De Noteboom manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shikoku to the ground. Shikoku escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Shikoku tries to clinch up.
De Noteboom checks a leg kick nicely.
Shikoku misses with a wild body shot.
De Noteboom with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Shikoku to score with a decent uppercut.
Shikoku lunges at De Noteboom with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by De Noteboom's hand.

It looks like Royston De Noteboom has been cut.
De Noteboom takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
De Noteboom tries for a takedown but Shikoku sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shikoku lands a leg kick that knocks De Noteboom off balance momentarily.
Shikoku misses the shot to the body.
De Noteboom tries to move into range but Shikoku moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Shikoku pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and De Noteboom counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Dynamite Shikoku wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
De Noteboom stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Shikoku.

Shikoku has closed the distance and engaged De Noteboom in a clinch.
De Noteboom is working for takedown but Shikoku is calmly controlling the position for now.
Dynamite Shikoku has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Royston De Noteboom.
Shikoku gets underhooks to prevent De Noteboom's takedown attempt.
De Noteboom has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Shikoku after a bit of a struggle.
Shikoku has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. De Noteboom is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Shikoku lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
De Noteboom tries to circle away but Shikoku has him pinned against the cage.

De Noteboom slips a jab from Shikoku.
De Noteboom moves forwards but Shikoku connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Shikoku tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shikoku missing with a left hand there. De Noteboom was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
De Noteboom defending well as Shikoku loads up on a big left hand.
Shikoku lands a jab to the nose.
De Noteboom keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Shikoku lands a nice leg kick that just misses De Noteboom's sensitive parts.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Shikoku tries to reverse the position but De Noteboom maintains control.
Shikoku wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by De Noteboom.

De Noteboom lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Shikoku hang on?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shikoku tries to reverse the position but De Noteboom maintains control.
Shikoku's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
De Noteboom is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Shikoku can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
De Noteboom lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Shikoku is rocked!

De Noteboom postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Shikoku badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of De Noteboom around the waist but De Noteboom pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! De Noteboom is the winner by TKO! De Noteboom jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Royston De Noteboom!
