Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Harry Kalizhnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Calvancante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalizhnikov cracks Calvancante with a good jab.
Kalizhnikov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Calvancante's head backwards.
Kalizhnikov feints a jab promting Calvancante to slip. Kalizhnikov then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Calvancante slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Kalizhnikov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Calvancante shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kalizhnikov defends it nicely.

Kalizhnikov throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Calvancante's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Kalizhnikov dives in looking to finish as Calvancante flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Kalizhnikov's strikes! Kalizhnikov is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Calvancante's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Calvancante was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
