Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Regan King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boozan Kolov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Regan King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Boozan Kolov!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kolov looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Kolov trying to control but King is working from the bottom.

Kolov drops back looking for a leg! King is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and King manages to kick Kolov off! Kolov jumps back into King's guard.
King working a defensive guard here.
Kolov cracks King with a solid left hand.
Kolov engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
King tries to land a sweep but no joy.

King not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
King is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kolov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
King looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Kolov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kolov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
King trying to keep a closed guard but Kolov is proving a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Regan King wasn't doing enough on the ground.
King misses with a kick to the body.
Regan King is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
King thows a body kick. Kolov tries to catch it but that hurt him.
King connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Kolov wants to clinch.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kolov checks a leg kick.

Kolov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kolov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, King has escaped the position, nice work there.

King tries to improve position but can't.
King struggling a bit here.
A control attempt from King but he's now mounted!
Kolov has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of King's face.

King tries to hold on but Kolov pushes him away.
King is wriggling around trying to escape.
King is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kolov prevents King from getting the reversal.
King is breathing heavily.
Kolov is trying to take his opponent's back.
Kolov dominating with strikes here.
Kolov throwing strikes but King uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Kolov is thwarting King's attempts to control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
King is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boozan Kolov dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Kolov misses with a head kick.

Kolov has closed the distance and engaged King in a clinch.
King trying to control the position but instead, Kolov has worked for underhooks and has pushed King into the cage.
Kolov on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Kolov fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Kolov has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics King uses from the top position.
King wants to control from the top but Kolov keeps moving.

Kolov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. King is aware though and is defending well.

Kolov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. King gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kolov has control of King's left arm, preventing King from doing any damage.

Kolov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Boozan Kolov has got the better of the ground game so far.

King tries to free his leg and advance position but Kolov is retaining full guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
King won't allow Kolov to sweep him here.
Kolov is breathing heavily.

Boozan Kolov has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
An inside leg kick from King misses.
King scores with a head kick. Kolov tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Kolov fails to land the takedown.
King misses with a straight left.
King connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
King moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Kolov checks a leg kick.

Kolov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming King to the mat! King manages to get full guard.

King is trying to control the position but Kolov postures up.
King can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kolov controls the pace.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Kolov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into King's guard.
King manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
King looking to control but Kolov is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King is stalling here but it's allowed Kolov to get half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kolov misses with some strikes from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Boozan Kolov will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


King lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

King tries to sprawl but Kolov drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Kolov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed King's head.

Kolov is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
King is looking to improve his position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Boozan Kolov.
King is looking to clinch but Kolov is avoiding it.
Kolov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kolov fails with the takedown.
Kolov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
King fails in his attempt to clinch.

King wants to clinch up but Kolov keeps it at a distance.

and King counters with a leg kick.
King moves to clinch but Kolov breaks away

and Kolov counters with a single leg into guard. King didn't expect that.
King looking to control.

Kolov is posturing up here but King has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Kolov tries to roll out but it's too tight and Kolov has to tap! Slick submission there by King!
