Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vasilij Zajtsev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jo Jo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jo has chosen Set You Free as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jo Jo!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jo dives in and grabs Zajtsev's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zajtsev pushes down on Jo's head and hops out.
No joy there for Zajtsev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zajtsev lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Zajtsev rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Zajtsev stalks Jo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jo's face. Jo staggers backwards, shaken.

Jo gets a takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Zajtsev looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Jo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zajtsev is just riding it out for now. Jo eventually gives up the hold.
Jo is thwarting Zajtsev's attempts to control the position.

Jo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Zajtsev wants to control but Jo is keeping busy.

Jo has control of Zajtsev's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Zajtsev regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Zajtsev wants to hold on but Jo pushes him away.
Jo trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Zajtsev can't escape the position.

Jo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Zajtsev can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jo lands a big shot there that rocks Zajtsev but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Zajtsev is rocked!
Zajtsev takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Jo's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Jo Jo opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
