PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Falcone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Javis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falcone comes to the cage accompanied by BLACK HAWK DOWN. Will Javis told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falcone avoids the body shot from Javis.
Javis tests Falcone's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Javis stalks Falcone and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Falcone's face. Falcone staggers backwards, shaken.
Falcone tries to clinch but Javis moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Javis. Falcone does a little dance to reset his feet.
Javis throws a head kick but Falcone moves out of range.
Javis feints a jab promting Falcone to slip. Javis then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Falcone slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Javis throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Javis has managed to clinch.
Falcone really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Javis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Falcone has him pressed against the cage.
Javis throws an elbow that misses.
Falcone lands a right hand that snaps the head of Javis backwards.
Javis is trying to push Falcone away but Falcone has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Javis tries to circle away but Falcone has him pinned against the cage.
Javis looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Javis wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Falcone lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Javis backwards.
Falcone has Javis pressed against the cage, preventing Javis from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Falcone blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Javis is trying to break the clinch but Falcone has him pressed against the cage.
Javis is trying to push Falcone away but Falcone has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Javis has had enough of the clinch but Falcone keeps him there for the moment.
Javis is trying to force a seperation but Falcone has the dominant position.

Falcone jumps into guard, dragging Javis to the mat.
Javis trying to control but Falcone is working from the bottom.
Falcone wants to sweep here but Javis controlling him for the moment.
Javis being controlled here momentarily.
Javis wants to control from the top but Falcone keeps moving.
Javis controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Will Javis.
Sloppy strikes from Javis. Those never looked like landing.
Javis throws a one two combo.
Falcone tries to clinch but Javis is having none of it.

Javis clinches up with Falcone and pushes him back against the cage.
Javis misses with an elbow over the top.
Falcone blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Javis throws an elbow but it misses.

Javis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Javis leaves Falcone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Falcone dodges the punch combination from Javis.
Falcone tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Javis swivels and escapes.
Falcone looks for a takedown but Javis sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruno Falcone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Falcone is breathing heavily.

Javis closes the distance and pushes Falcone back into the cage.

Will Javis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Javis lands with a nice body punch.
Javis tries to clinch up.
Javis throws a sloppy head kick and Falcone moves out of range easily.

Falcone shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Javis wants to stand up but Falcone is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Falcone with a flurry of punches that miss.

Javis looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Falcone is defending well. Javis quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Falcone has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Javis celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Will Javis tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
