The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ladi, as that shot connected.
Laurent checks a leg kick.
Ladi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Laurent.
Ladi throws a series of strikes that have Laurent backpedaling.
Ladi smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Laurent takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Laurent has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ladi.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Laurent takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Laurent throws a body kick that misses.
Ladi throws a head kick that Laurent semi-blocks.
Laurent tries to score with a low kick but Ladi moves his leg out of the way.
A low kick from Laurent misses
and Ladi counters with a head kick that wobbles Laurent - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Ladi sends him down. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rehti Ladi!
Rehti Ladi decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
