Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Chace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Lachlan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lachlan has chosen 3am as his entrance music. Chace has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Ethan Lachlan has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Chace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ethan Lachlan!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lachlan misses with a few strikes there.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Chace.
Lachlan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lachlan just misses with a punch to the body.
Lachlan lands with a nice combination. Chace backs away looking to recover.

Lachlan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chace did well to prevent Lachlan getting side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Chace keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Lachlan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Lachlan is working for a submission of some sort.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chace wants to get back to full guard but Lachlan has mounted him!
Chace might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Chace is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Chace defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Lachlan.
Chace can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chace is breathing heavily.
Chace tries to hold on but Lachlan postures up.
Lachlan fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Chace tries to lock up and control but Lachlan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lachlan is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Chace can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Lachlan wants to finish this one by submission but Chace is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lachlan.
Lachlan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lachlan has control of Chace's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Chace regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lachlan lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Oh Chace is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lachlan postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Chace in real trouble here! The ref calls for Chace to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ethan Lachlan!
Ethan Lachlan got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
