PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harrison Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Logan comes to the cage accompanied by Devildriver - Devils Son. The crowd seem to be enjoying Barnes's choice of entrance music: The Game-360 Bars. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Logan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Barnes to the ground. Logan is now in Barnes's guard.

Barnes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Logan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Logan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Barnes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Logan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Barnes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Logan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Logan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Barnes - the referee stops the clock and Logan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Barnes. Logan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Logan sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to James Logan.
I think Barnes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
