Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Connely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Allen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Connely!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Allen!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Connely closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Allen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Connely pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Allen is keeping the position for now.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Allen is on top in guard.

Connely moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Dan Connely has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Allen.
Allen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Connely's waist but Connely gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Allen off to one side.

Connely fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Allen sprawls well initially but Connely persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Well Connely has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
