The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferraro throws a combination that misses
and Diza counters with a two punch combo.
Ferraro dives in and grabs Diza's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diza pushes down on Ferraro's head and hops out.
Ferraro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Diza's waist but Diza gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ferraro off to one side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ferraro is defended easily by Diza.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gianfranco Ferraro. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ferraro tries to clinch but Diza moves out of range.
Diza lands with a nice combination. Ferraro backs away looking to recover.

Diza dips to his left and cracks Ferraro with an uppercut!
Diza throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ferraro stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diza lands a big uppercut and Ferraro crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ferraro looks OK. Diza waves Ferraro back to his feet!

Gianfranco Ferraro's cut is getting worse.
Diza connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Ferraro to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Diza!
