Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Irwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otto Jokinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Irwin comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - T.N.T. Jokinen has chosen Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jokinen plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jokinen throws a head kick but Irwin moves out of range.
Jokinen cracks a nice hook into Irwin's ribs.
Jokinen takes a swing at Irwin's ribcage but misses.
Irwin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jokinen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jokinen connects with a jab.
Irwin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jokinen lands a leg kick that knocks Irwin off balance momentarily.
Jokinen connects with a crisp jab.
Some bone on bone action there as Jokinen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Jokinen moves out of range of the strikes.

and Jokinen counters with an outside leg kick.
Irwin is breathing heavily.
Irwin on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jokinen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Irwin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jokinen lands a jab to Irwin's midsection.
Jokinen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jokinen misses with an attempted mid kick.
Jokinen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jokinen pushes Irwin away with a front kick.
Otto Jokinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jokinen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Irwin. That did some damage!
Jokinen jabs Irwin to the body, keeping him at a distance.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jokinen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Irwin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jokinen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Jokinen is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Irwin rather than just go for the knockout.

and Jokinen counters with a low kick, right behind Irwin 's knee.
Jokinen thuds a left hand into Irwin's body.

Jokinen instigates a clinch.

Jokinen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jokinen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Jokinen is looking to sinch up a triangle. Irwin throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jokinen's body to avoid the submission. Jokinen has instead reached around Irwin's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jokinen arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Otto Jokinen! Otto Jokinen retains his light heavyweight title!
After winning the bout, Otto Jokinen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
