The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dodger lands with an overhand left.

It looks like Mathias Simanov has been cut.
Simanov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Simanov ducks under a wild hook from Dodger.

Dodger has closed the distance and engaged Simanov in a clinch.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Simanov has eaten all the pies!
A short uppercut from Dodger.
Simanov tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Stalling in the clinch from Dodger.
Dodger lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Dodger is struggling to control the position.
Simanov is trying to drag Dodger to the mat but Dodger just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Dodger lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Simanov or not.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Simanov wants to get back to striking at distance but Dodger won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Simanov is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Dodger lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Dodger just leaning against Simanov, taking a breather.
Dodger is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Henry Dodger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mathias Simanov.
Simanov takes a shot to the head.
Dodger has Simanov pushed against the cage.

That has opened up Mathias Simanov's cut even more.
Dodger's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Dodger escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dodger moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Simanov goes down! Can Dodger finish him!?

Simanov is rocked!
Dodger wants to pass the guard but Simanov is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dodger postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Dodger chips away with some ground and pound.
Dodger scoring with punches to the head and body.
Dodger would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Dodger throws a big right hand that misses.
Dodger lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Mathias Simanov's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Dodger is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mathias Simanov's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
