Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Le Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casey Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch there but Banner circles away.
Jones throws a good cross that connects.
Jones takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jones scoring well with a low kick there.
Banner takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jones takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jones misses with a hook. Banner ducked under it nicely.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Banner ducks down to avoid it.
Jones steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Banner.
Banner just misses with a punch to the body.
Banner moves out of range as Jones strikes.

Jones rushes Banner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

and Jones moves into the clinch.

Banner tries for a takedown but Jones manages to get underhooks.

Banner tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.

Banner's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Banner is trying to push Jones away but Jones has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Jones will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Banner up against the cage.

Banner on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerome Le Banner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Banner wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.
Jones lands a good knee to the midsection. Banner won't want to take too many of those.

Banner lands a takedown into guard.
Banner is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Jones has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Banner is looking to defend but Jones has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Banner! Jones pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Banner taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Casey Jones! Casey Jones retains his light heavyweight title!
Casey Jones bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
