Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chumba Wumba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wumba's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, La Bamba . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chumba Wumba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Connor!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wumba keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Connor.
Connor misses with a few strikes there.
Connor closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wumba to the mat! Wumba manages to get full guard.
Wumba wants to stand but Connor is controlling the position.
Connor wants to control from the top but Wumba keeps moving.
Connor is looking to pass into half guard but Wumba pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Wumba is in guard.
Wumba trying to control but Connor is working from the bottom.
Connor is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Wumba is trying to get back to full guard.

Connor content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Connor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wumba does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Connor tries to pass to full mount but Wumba defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Connor is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wumba is just riding it out for now. Connor eventually gives up the hold.
Connor throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Wumba is trying to get back to full guard.
Connor trying to pass the guard but Wumba defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Connor is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Connor throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Connor throwing strikes here but Wumba is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Wumba tries to lock up and control but Connor gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A combination from Connor does no damage.
Connor looks to throw the jab but Wumba is out of range.
Connor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wumba moves away.
Wumba slips a straight right by Connor.
Connor misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wumba tries to clinch but Connor moves out of range.
Wumba tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Connor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Connor moves into the clinch successfully.
Wumba lands a left hand.
Wumba breaks the clinch.
Wumba dips to his left and cracks Connor with an uppercut!
Connor throws a jab but it's blocked by Wumba.
Connor lands with a good body shot.
Wumba clinches up with Connor and pushes him back against the cage.

Connor tries to pull guard but Wumba holds him up against the cage and eventually Connor drops back down to his feet.
Wumba scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Wumba manages to break the clinch.
Connor misses with an uppercut.
Wumba closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Wumba fails with an attempt to clinch.
Connor tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Wumba stuffs the takedown.
Connor misses with a right hand
and Wumba counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Connor thinking.
Left hook, right uppercut from Wumba.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Connor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wumba sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Connor somewhat.
Chumba Wumba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Connor.

and Wumba connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Connor is breathing heavily.

Wumba tries to clinch up.
Connor looks to throw the jab but Wumba is out of range.
Wumba forces Connor back against the cage and clinches.
Wumba is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Wumba's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wumba lands a right hook to the body.
Wumba walks into a jab.
Chumba Wumba is winning the standup battle so far.
Connor misses with an uppercut
and Wumba counters with a nice uppercut.
Wumba tries to clinch but Connor is having none of it.
Wumba swats away the attempt to clinch by Connor.
Wumba scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

A telegraphed right hand from Connor misses the target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wumba. Connor does a little dance to reset his feet.
Wumba slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Connor is rocked!
Connor shoots in and drives through. Wumba sprawls well.
Wumba tries to close the distance and clinch up but Connor swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Connor misses with a double jab.
Wumba rushes Connor and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Wumba stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Wumba lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Wumba pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Connor misses with a wild combination.
Wumba tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Connor paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Connor misses with a hook
and Connor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nice defenses there by Wumba.

and Wumba counters with a right hand to the body.
Wumba moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Connor goes down! Can Wumba finish him!?
Connor is still in real trouble! Can Wumba finish him?
Wumba wants to control from the top but Connor keeps moving.
Wumba controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Connor seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Wumba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Connor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chumba Wumba.
Wumba defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Connor.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chumba Wumba dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Connor has a takedown stuffed.
Nice sprawl there from Wumba as Connor shoots in.
Wumba lands a nice looking body shot.
Wumba catches Connor with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Wumba seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

John Connor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wumba will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Connor up against the cage.
Wumba is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Connor can do to turn this around?

Connor throws an elbow that misses. Wumba uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Connor's guard. Nice move by Wumba!

Chumba Wumba showed his dominance in that final round.
