Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wranch Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandre Preuss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wranch Hammer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexandre Preuss!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Preuss misses with a hook. Hammer ducked under it nicely.

Hammer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Preuss wants to control but Hammer is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Preuss can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hammer is pressing down on Preuss's thigh, looking to free his foot. Preuss is holding on for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hammer tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Preuss manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hammer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Hammer looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Hammer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Preuss walks away with a smile on his face. Hammer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hammer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Preuss defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wranch Hammer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hammer wants to clinch but Preuss slips to the side
and Preuss counters with a nice uppercut.
Hammer moves in looking to clinch but Preuss pushes him off.

Preuss stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Hammer closes the distance and clinches up with Preuss, looking for a takedown. Hammer pushes Preuss against the cage but Preuss circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hammer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Preuss throws out the jab.

Preuss paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Preuss looks to land a combination. Hammer sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Preuss leaves Hammer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Preuss might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Hammer shoots in looking for a takedown. Preuss tries to sprawl out of it but Hammer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Preuss manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wranch Hammer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Preuss lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Hammer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Preuss's waist but Preuss gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hammer off to one side.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Wranch Hammer will probably get the nod.

Hammer shoots for a double leg takedown but Preuss sprawls well. He's pushed Hammer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fighters circle momentarily. Preuss darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Preuss is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Wranch Hammer.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hammer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
