Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Austin Worner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Dodson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Dodson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Worner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Dodson!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dodson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A head kick misses from Dodson.
Worner throws a head kick but Dodson moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Dodson or perhaps it was just good defense by Worner which made him look bad.
Dodson stuffs the takedown attempt from Worner. Worner gets slowly back to his feet.

Dodson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dodson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Worner wants to control but Dodson is having none of it.

Worner tries to lock up and control but Dodson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dodson prevents Worner from getting the reversal.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Worner in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Dodson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Let's hope that Dodson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Dodson lands a big elbow.

Dodson is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Worner is forced to tap! Great finish!
