Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Rogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Niko Bronson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rogan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rogan wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Rogan takes a swing at Bronson's ribcage but misses.
Bronson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rogan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bronson somewhat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Bronson rushes Rogan and presses him up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rogan tries to circle away but Bronson has him pinned against the cage.
Rogan wants to get back to striking at distance but Bronson won't allow it.
Bronson has Rogan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rogan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Rogan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bronson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Joe Rogan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Niko Bronson.
Rogan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Rogan scores with a body shot.
A big left from Rogan misses.
Rogan takes a swing at Bronson's ribcage but misses.
Bronson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rogan tries to avoid it but Bronson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rogan to the ground. Rogan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rogan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bronson moves out of range as Rogan strikes.
Bronson staying out of range there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bronson defending well as Rogan loads up on a big left hand.
Bronson moves out of range of the strikes.
Bronson wants to clinch.
Bronson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Bronson is looking to slow Rogan down with leg kicks.
Bronson goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Joe Rogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rogan throws a quick head kick that knocks Bronson silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Rogan is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Joe Rogan!
