The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Christian closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Christian thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Diggler's head.
Christian wants to advance to full mount but Diggler doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Christian throws an elbow that misses. Diggler uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Christian's guard. Nice move by Diggler!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Christian is looking for a triangle but Diggler pushes his legs off easily.
Diggler passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Christian wants to control but Diggler postures up.

Diggler has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Christian shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Diggler's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diggler is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Christian throws a sloppy strike and Diggler has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Christian is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Diggler!
