PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Christiansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lars Christiansen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Christiansen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Spencer - that will leave a mark!
Spencer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Christiansen.
Spencer throws a body kick that misses.
Christiansen takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Spencer fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Christiansen looks winded!
Spencer throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
The crowd cheers as Spencer lands an impressive looking overhand right. Christiansen doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Lars Christiansen has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A jab from Spencer does it's job there.
Christiansen misses with a looping left.
Christiansen missing with a left hand there. Spencer was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Spencer throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Spencer's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Spencer duly obliges.
Christiansen misses with a hook. Spencer ducked under it nicely.

Christiansen takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Spencer pounces like a tiger and cracks Christiansen with a vicious hook! Christiansen is down but not out! Spencer follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Chris Spencer was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
