Cole comes to the cage accompanied by The Offspring - Why Don't You Get A Job. Ty Coon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Norris Cole's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ty Coon!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole looks for a takedown but Coon sprawls well.
Cole misses with a takedown attempt - Coon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Coon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Coon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Cole might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Coon seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Coon is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Coon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Coon decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

A close round but Ty Coon will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Cole feints and as Coon raises his hands in defense, Cole changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Cole drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Coon manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cole has Coon in his guard.
Coon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cole had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Coon defends it easily.

Coon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cole does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Cole is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Coon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Coon's back!

Coon is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cole is persistently looking for the submission but Coon is defending it well.

Cole is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Coon knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Coon for a finish.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cole is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Norris Cole overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Cole has managed to slip his arm under Coon's chin. This could be all over... yep, Coon is tapping out! Submission win for Cole.
