Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Renninger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Richard Renninger was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Renninger pinned against the cage. Renninger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Banner closes the distance and clinches up with Renninger, looking for a takedown. Banner pushes Renninger against the cage but Renninger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Banner takes a jab right on the kisser.
Banner tries to move into range but Renninger moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Renninger lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Renninger avoids the body shot from Banner.
Renninger jabbing away but nothing is landing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Banner swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Banner clobbers Renninger with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Renninger fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Banner shoots in and drives through. Renninger sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lamont Banner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Banner steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Renninger. That one must have hurt.

Banner shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Renninger is trying to defend but Banner finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Renninger wants to improve his position but Banner is controlling well.

Banner is looking for a kimura but Renninger is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Banner to get the leverage.

Banner is pushing down on Renninger's leg trying to pass to half guard. Renninger is fighting to maintain full guard but Banner has managed to sneak the leg through.

Banner wants to work for an arm triangle but Renninger is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Banner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Banner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Renninger lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Banner has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Renninger.

Banner closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Renninger quickly recovers to half guard.

Banner in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Renninger tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Banner!

Lamont Banner spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
