Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Faria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Faria!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faria circles away from the clinch attempt.
Diaz fails to land with a series of punches.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Faria swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Faria as he avoids it easily.
Horrible takedown by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Faria which made him look bad.
Faria shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Diaz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Faria won't be happy with that.
Faria avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Diaz.

Diaz decides to stand back up.
Diaz tries to clinch but Faria is having none of it.
Diaz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Faria is fending him off so far but Diaz persists. Nope, Faria circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alejandro Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Faria tries to land a front kick but Diaz steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Diaz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Faria stuffs the takedown.

Diaz moves into range and clinches up with Faria.

Faria breaks the clinch.
Diaz takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Diaz is looking to clinch but Faria is avoiding it.
Diaz fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Diaz takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Faria counters with a low kick, right behind Diaz 's knee.
Diaz is breathing heavily.
Faria fails in his attempt to clinch.
Faria scores with a nice head shot.
Diaz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Faria goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Diaz is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Diaz misses with a wild body shot.
Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

A head kick by Faria - that's a beauty! Diaz is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Faria can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
