Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Burnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank McSwiggan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McSwiggan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The State Of Massachusetts by The Dropkick Murphys kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank McSwiggan!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burnett feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burnett tries to free his leg and advance position but McSwiggan is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now McSwiggan is on top in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Burnett jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but McSwiggan manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Burnett gets caught flat footed, as McSwiggan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
McSwiggan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Burnett's head.
Burnett tries to land a sweep but no joy.
McSwiggan takes a decent strike to the side of the head.

Burnett is looking for a triangle but McSwiggan pushes his legs off easily.
