Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pat Miletich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miletich comes to the ring accompanied by Canibus- 2nd Round Knockout. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as John Howard enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pat Miletich!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Howard!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Howard. Beautiful body shot.
Miletich shoots for a double leg takedown but Howard sprawls well. He's pushed Miletich's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Howard pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Howard stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Howard wants it to stay on the feet.
Howard changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Howard paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Howard displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Miletich.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pat Miletich. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Miletich shoots in looking for a takedown but Howard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Miletich's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Howard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miletich was well out of range. Poor timing from Howard.

Howard loads up on a big right hand but Miletich slips the punch.
Miletich needs to keep his hands up - Howard had a free shot at his head there.

Miletich clinches up with Howard and pushes him back against the ropes.

Miletich is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Howard pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Miletich has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Howard after a bit of a struggle.

Howard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miletich. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Howard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Howard holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Miletich controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Howard looking to control.
Miletich working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Howard's head.
Howard keeping moving, preventing Miletich from controlling successfully.
Miletich is looking to work some ground and pound but Howard has wrist control.
Howard wants to sweep here but Miletich controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Miletich trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Howard can do anything to dispel that myth.
Miletich seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Miletich changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Howard tries to avoid it but Miletich manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Howard to the ground. Howard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but John Howard will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Pat Miletich's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Pat Miletich overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Miletich wants to control from the top but Howard keeps moving.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Miletich takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
John Howard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Howard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Miletich walks into a jab.
Howard cracks Miletich with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.

and Miletich counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Miletich.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Miletich advances position into side control!
Howard is looking to regain half guard here but Miletich keeps moving and retains side control.
Miletich sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Howard is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Miletich has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Howard is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Miletich yanks on the arm and Howard is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Miletich.
