Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kris Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kris Marsh!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Reese!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Joseph Jones and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsh with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Reese closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Reese lands a hook that snaps the head of Marsh backwards.
Marsh makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Marsh struggles to land a body shot inside as Reese controls his hands.
Reese tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Marsh's elbow.

Marsh is trying to trip Reese. He has hold of a leg but Reese is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Marsh persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Marsh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reese gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marsh had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Reese defends it easily.
Marsh has momentary wrist control but Reese slips an elbow through the middle.

Reese is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters circling - Reese throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Marsh keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kyle Reese seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Marsh takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Reese shoots in looking for a takedown. Marsh tries to sprawl out of it but Reese keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marsh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kris Marsh will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Marsh shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Reese as he avoids it easily.

Marsh feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Reeses jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Marsh counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and Marsh counters with a head kick. That will keep Reese thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Reese throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Marsh was covering up waiting for the punch and Reese finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Reese takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Marsh cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That was a close round but Kris Marsh did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Reese's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Marsh connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Reese scrambles back to his feet.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Marsh connects with a nice short shot to Reese's temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Reese dominated that fourth round.
That's time! Marsh's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Marsh moves out of range as Reese throws a body kick.
Marsh misses with a looping left.
Marsh misses the shot to the body.
Marsh leaves Reese with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Reese displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Marsh.
Marsh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Marsh shoots in and drives through. Reese sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kris Marsh. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Reese lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Marsh has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Marsh and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

No joy there for Marsh, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Reese tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marsh swivels and escapes.

Marsh changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reese tries to avoid it but Marsh manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reese to the ground. Reese escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Reese shoots in looking for a takedown but Marsh manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reese's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Marsh misses with a few strikes there.
Marsh feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Reeses jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Reese will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Reese is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?
Reese throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Marsh pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kris Marsh.
I think Marsh has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
