The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wang closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Santo quickly recovers to half guard.

Wang is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Santo is just riding it out for now. Wang eventually gives up the hold.

Wang looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wang wants to pass the guard but Santo is defending well.

Santo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wang pulls his head out easily.
Wang slips a nice elbow through Santo's hands, connecting with Santo's forehead.

Wang is stalling here. Santo is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Wang seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Santo has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Wang wants to control but Santo postures up.
Wang tries to buck Santo off but Santo is having none of it.
Wang is working hard here to advance position.

Santo has hold of Wang's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Wang tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Santo cranks the arm and Wang screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Wang, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
