The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustafsson feints and then cracks Aldo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Aldo down.

Gustafsson forces Aldo back against the cage and clinches.
A knee to the head by Gustafsson.
Gustafsson working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Gustafsson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Aldo is looking to control Gustafsson's arms but Gustafsson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Aldo has his back to the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Gustafsson.
Gustafsson putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Aldo in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Aldo is breathing heavily.

Gustafsson has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Aldo - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Gustafsson, and another! Aldo is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

In his post fight interview, Alexander Gustafsson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
