Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dr Gonzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott has chosen Bang - By Barry Scott as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Barry Scott has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dr Gonzo's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Gonzo looks to land a right hand but Scott moved out of range.
Scott lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Scott wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Gonzo misses with an uppercut
and Scott counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Scott scores with a nice right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gonzo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Scott scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Gonzo dives in and grabs Scott's left leg, looking for a takedown. Scott pushes down on Gonzo's head and hops out.

Gonzo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Scott's head.
Scott feints a jab promting Gonzo to slip. Scott then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gonzo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Gonzo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Scott manages to avoid it.

Gonzo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Scott to the ground. Gonzo is now in Scott's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

A bone on bone clash there as Scott blocks the leg kick.

Gonzo attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Scott slaps away a takedown attempt from Gonzo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gonzo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Scott steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gonzo.
Gonzo scores with a jab to the head.
Scott throws a body punch but Gonzo moves out of range.
Scott lands a nice looking body shot.
Gonzo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Scott moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A lazy left from Scott finds it's target.

Gonzo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Scott did well to prevent Gonzo getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scott preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
