PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vort Under (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerard Link (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Link has chosen Mr. Trololo as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gerard Link has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vort Under!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gerard Link!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Link darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Link keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Under shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Under was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Under in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Link holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Under tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Under takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Under trying to control but Link is having none of it.

Under looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Link really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Under. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Under is working for a guillotine from mount but Link frees his head quite easily.
Under landing strikes from the mount and Link is in trouble!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Link is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Under controlling from the full mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Under tries to control but Link wriggling away.
Under lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Under thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Under unloading with bombs!

Under wants to finish this one by submission but Link is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Under.
Under looking to control but Link is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Under throws some wild stikes that Link manages to avoid easily.
Under thowing shots but they're missing.
Link tries to buck Under off but he can't manage it.

Under working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Link turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Under off and cradles Link's limp body as Under celebrates with his corner.
