The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nabijos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Butcher misses with a body kick.
Nabijos stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Butcher misses with an uppercut. Nabijos saw that one coming.
Butcher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nabijos manages to avoid it.
Nabijos stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Butcher.
Butcher misses with a low kick as Nabijos jumps back.

Percival Butcher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Butcher throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nabijos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Good leg kick by Nabijos there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Nabijos counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Butcher thinking.
Butcher throws a hook to the side of Nabijos's head but Nabijos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nabijos scores with a head kick. Butcher tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Nabijos looks to score with a jab to the body but Butcher is just out of range.
Nabijos with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Butcher to score with a decent uppercut.

Nabijos fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Butcher has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Butcher is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nabijos.

Butcher tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Nabijos manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Butcher lands a nice leg kick that just misses Nabijos's sensitive parts.
Nabijos scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A punch lands to the side of Butcher 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Nabijos buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Butcher lands a glancing blow to the side of Nabijos's head.
Butcher attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
A nice inside leg kick there by Nabijos. That's going to slow Butcher down.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nabijos lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Nabijos explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Butcher takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
