Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray The Pit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heaven Sent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ray The Pit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Heaven Sent!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sent rushes The Pit and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sent has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

The Pit successfully pulls guard.
Sent looking to pass the guard.
The Pit bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sent's guard.
Sent is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The Pit stops Sent from standing up.
The Pit really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sent wants to sweep here but The Pit controlling him for the moment.
The Pit pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sent is keeping the position for now.
Sent looking to hit a scissor sweep but The Pit is one step ahead there.

Sent looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Sent seems keen to control The Pit's posture.
Sent keeping moving, preventing The Pit from controlling successfully.
Sent looking to hit a scissor sweep but The Pit is one step ahead there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from The Pit.

Sent shoots in looking for a takedown. The Pit tries to sprawl out of it but Sent keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. The Pit manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sent gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Sent escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Sent counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sent fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sent fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but The Pit is out of range.

Sent throws a sloppy head kick
and The Pit counters with a leg kick.
The Pit tries to clinch up but Sent circles away and keeps his distance.
No joy there for The Pit, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sent misses with a takedown attempt
and The Pit counters with a nice body kick.
Ray The Pit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heaven Sent.
The Pit checks a leg kick.

Sent gets a clinch.

The Pit has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sent uses from the top position.
Sent stops The Pit from standing up.

Sent avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Heaven Sent has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Sent shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The Pit has a takedown stuffed.
The Pit dives in and grabs Sent's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sent pushes down on The Pit's head and hops out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Heaven Sent will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sent swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The Pit avoids the head kick by Sent.
Sent closes the distance and clinches up with The Pit, looking for a takedown. Sent pushes The Pit against the cage but The Pit circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Sent. No joy for The Pit on that attempt.
Sent stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sent wants it to stay on the feet.
Ray The Pit is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Sent closes the distance and clinches.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Sent gets control of The Pit's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sent will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Sent really doesn't want to stay on the ground with The Pit. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sent is looking to stand back up but The Pit counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Sent.
The Pit throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Sent looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sent wants to improve his position but The Pit is controlling well.

Sent tries to push off, looking to stand up, but The Pit manages to move to mount!
The Pit looking to control but Sent is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The Pit lands a nice shot to the head.
Sent tries to lock up and control but The Pit gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sent can't escape the position.
Sent is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Sent looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Sent looking very determined here, making life difficult for The Pit.
You can see the frustration on Sent's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sent is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
The Pit is not going to allow Sent to sit and survive in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
I really don't envy Sent right now.

Sent just trying to survive but The Pit is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Sent rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Sent is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of The Pit's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take The Pit's back!

Sent is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. The Pit defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Sent throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Sent is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. The Pit knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften The Pit for a finish.

Heaven Sent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! The Pit's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!


Sent misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Sent gets a clinch.
Sent stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Sent has hold of one of The Pit's legs. The Pit is fighting the takedown attempt but Sent gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Sent is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Sent postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sent trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Sent must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sent postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! The Pit is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sent, into his guard.
Heaven Sent has got the better of the ground game so far.

The Pit stands and steps away. Sent gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Sent throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around The Pit's waist but The Pit gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sent off to one side.
Sent avoids the head kick by The Pit.
Sent closes the distance and clinches up with The Pit, looking for a takedown. Sent pushes The Pit against the cage but The Pit circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sent misses with a low kick.
The Pit misses with a shot to the body

and Sent counters by clinching up.
Sent can't break the clinch.
Sent blocks an elbow strike.
The Pit prevents a takedown attempt there.
Ray The Pit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heaven Sent.

Sent ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sent no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Sent manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Sent keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The Pit stuffs the takedown attempt from Sent. Sent gets slowly back to his feet.

Sent shoots for a takedown but The Pit saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The Pit shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sent sprawls well. Sent wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. The Pit gets slowly back to his feet.
Sent fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but The Pit avoids it really well and circles away.

No luck for Sent with that takedown attempt.

Sent forces The Pit back against the cage and clinches.
The Pit keeps control of Sent as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sent wants to break the clinch but can't.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sent is working The Pit over against the cage.
The Pit is looking to control Sent's arms but Sent gets an underhook and turns him. Now The Pit has his back to the cage.
Ray The Pit has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Heaven Sent is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Sent wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

And that's the end of the fight!
Heaven Sent comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Sent winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
