Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Satoru Kitaoka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lazarus Po (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Po ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Po throws a head kick but Kitaoka moves out of range.
Kitaoka shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Po cracks the inside of Kitaoka's front leg.
Po buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kitaoka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Po's waist but Po gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kitaoka off to one side.
Po tries a head kick but it misses.
Kitaoka misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Satoru Kitaoka. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Po. No joy for Kitaoka on that attempt.
Kitaoka tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Po swivels and escapes.
Po avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Po is staying active underneath Kitaoka, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kitaoka tries to pass to full mount but Po defends it.

Kitaoka is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Po is just riding it out for now. Kitaoka eventually gives up the hold.

Kitaoka's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kitaoka is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Po is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kitaoka.

Kitaoka's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Po connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kitaoka scrambles back to his feet.
Kitaoka dives in and grabs Po's left leg, looking for a takedown. Po pushes down on Kitaoka's head and hops out.

Po slaps away a takedown attempt from Kitaoka, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Kitaoka misses with a body punch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Po.
Po lands an elbow inside that Kitaoka shrugs off.
Po makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Kitaoka is trying to drag Po to the mat but Po just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kitaoka has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Po avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Kitaoka goes for a takedown attempt but Po pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Kitaoka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Po defends it nicely.
Satoru Kitaoka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kitaoka shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Po sprawls well. Po wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kitaoka gets slowly back to his feet.
Lazarus Po seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Po connects with a solid leg kick.

Po lands with a kick to the ribs.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kitaoka is looking to clinch but Po is avoiding it.
Kitaoka fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Po avoids it really well and circles away.
Po lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Po lands a leg kick that knocks Kitaoka off balance momentarily.
Kitaoka takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Po fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kitaoka avoids the head kick by Po.

and Po counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kitaoka's knee momentarily.

Kitaoka shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Po pinned against the cage. Po gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kitaoka shoots for a double leg takedown but Po sprawls well. He's pushed Kitaoka's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kitaoka moves forwards but Po connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Po feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kitaoka's calf.
Whack! Po lands a heavy head kick that drops Kitaoka. The ref tackles Po to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Kitaoka was done.
