The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luther tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Luther looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Horrible takedown by Luther or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson which made him look bad.

Luther rushes Jackson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Jackson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Luther after a bit of a struggle.
Luther has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Luther wants to get back to striking at distance but Jackson won't allow it.
Jackson tries a knee to the head but Luther blocks it.
Luther lands a right hand.
Jackson content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A punch combination from Luther misses.
Jackson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jackson throws a right hand that Luther ducks under and follows up with a left that Luther also avoids with ease.

Luther pushes Jackson up against the cage in a clinch.
Luther goes for a takedown attempt but Jackson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Greg Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blake Luther.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Luther throws a leg kick but Jackson moved away.
Jackson takes one on the button.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Luther.
Luther lands with a straight right. Jackson didn't see that one coming.
Luther lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jackson circles away quickly and effectively.
Jackson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Luther.
Blake Luther seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Luther. No joy for Jackson on that attempt.
Jackson dodges the punch combination from Luther.
Luther looks winded!

Jackson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Luther was covering up waiting for the punch and Jackson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jackson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Luther avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Jackson gets to his feet - Luther follows without any prompting.
Luther throws a nice looking combination but Jackson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jackson wants to clinch up but Luther keeps it at a distance.

Luther pushes Jackson up against the cage in a clinch.
Jackson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Luther is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jackson jumps guard but Luther stands there with Jackson around his waist. Jackson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jackson tries to stall but Luther uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Jackson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jackson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Luther throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range.
Jackson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jackson tries to clinch up.

Oooooh!!! Luther has knocked Jackson down with a huge combo! Luther steps away and waves a wobbly Jackson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Jackson is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Luther but Luther pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Oh Jackson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jackson fails to land the takedown.
Luther grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Jackson takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Luther cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
