PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pile Driver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murray Esson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Driver comes to the cage accompanied by my way. Esson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Amy MacDonald - This Is The Life kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Driver lands with a hook. Esson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Driver connects with a leg kick. Esson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Esson looks to land a body kick but Driver moved away.
Esson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Driver bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Esson's head backwards.
Esson on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Driver loads up on a big right hand but Esson slips the punch.
Driver is looking to chop away at Esson's legs.
Esson tries a low kick but Driver avoids it.
Esson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Esson throws a solid leg kick but Driver takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Esson.
Esson takes one on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A low kick from Driver is predictable there
and Esson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Esson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Driver is out of range and Esson settles back down.
Driver throws a big shot that misses.
Pile Driver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Esson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Driver ducks under a wild hook from Esson.
Esson throws a chopping leg kick but Driver manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Esson throws a sloppy head kick and Driver moves out of range easily.
Esson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A looping hook to the body misses from Esson. Driver does a little dance to reset his feet.
Driver tests Esson's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Driver scores with a nice head shot.
Esson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Driver thows a left - swing and a miss!
Driver throws an off balance right hand
and Esson counters with a straight right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Esson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Driver fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Esson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Driver shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Driver was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Esson tries to lock up and control but Driver gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Driver lands a nice shot to the head.

Esson is in all sorts of trouble here.

BOOM! Driver connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Esson is still in real trouble! Can Driver finish him?
Driver looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Esson covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
