PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wade Willson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Willson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sugar Hill Gang - Apache. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wade Willson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brandon Lee!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lee feints and as Willson raises his hands in defense, Lee changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lee would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Lee trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Willson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Lee passes into half guard.
Lee tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Willson.
Lee sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Willson defending well though.
Willson holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Lee looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Willson is trying to stand.

Lee prevents Willson from standing back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Willson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Willson showed some decent athleticism there.
Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Willson escapes and gets back to his feet.
Willson is breathing heavily.
Lee looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Willson closes the distance and clinches.
Lee tries to break the clinch but Willson is controlling the position.

Lee tightens his grip and picks Willson up, before dumping him to the ground. Willson manages to land in guard.
Willson controls Lee momentarily but Lee frees himself.
Lee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Willson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lee drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lee jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lee thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Lee trying to control but Willson is working from the bottom.
Lee might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Willson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Lee slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee advances nicely into full mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee throws some wild stikes that Willson manages to avoid easily.

Lee is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Willson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Willson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Lee anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Willson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Lee slips an arm under Willson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Lee has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Lee is squeezing on Willson like an anaconda would it's prey. Willson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
